Most of the designs in this section are one off and will disappear as soon as sold. If you miss a particular design and particularly wanted it, please let us know and we will endeavour to reproduce it but the limited time that the raw materials are available means this may not be possible.

The word macramé is Arabic in origin and means fringe. Macramé was developed when the early 13th century Arabic weavers started knotting the extra fabric at the edge of the loomed fabric.
The craft was practised in France and Italy in the early fourteenth and fifteenth centuries with the resulting fabrics being used in chuches for altar cloths and vestments. More details of the art can be found on the popular site Wikipedia.
Jill has utilised Macramé along with crystal, semi precious beads and chips, shell and many other materials to produce a beautiful range of bracelets and necklaces. Although not too expensive these items can be worn casually or for the most formal occasions. Many of these items are short run and will disappear to be replaced with new designs.
